I welcome you to the Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Church Word Wide Incorporated under Certificate No. 324 with International General Head Quarters at Ibadan, Capital of the then Western Nigeria, now, Oyo State about 125 miles north of Lagos.
I sincerely hope that every second of your visit to our site would be an exciting experience. Please note our definite identity The Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Church. There is no prefix in any portion of our name other than the fact that our formal name ‘The Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Society of Nigeria Inc” which under Nigerian Laws remains valid being under the same Certificate No. 324 which is unavailable to any one else.
The Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Church from onset in 1925 was an integral part, it was in fact, the part of the whole first Pentecostal movement in Nigeria founded by Moses Orimolade Tunolase, a native of Ikare in the present Ondo State of Nigeria. Our claim of being the greatest of the whole is predicated on the fact that the movement at formation in 1925 was in the then, Western Nigeria to an area covering Ikeja, Agege, Badagry, Ikorodu, Epe [all now in Lagos State] spreading across the present Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, Osun, Delta, Edo and parts of the present Bayelsa State –all these under the then Western Nigeria. We then operated as Western Conference under the founder before the misunderstanding in Lagos [mainly the Lagos Island involving a few leaders with the founders [see origin of Sacred C&S, CHURCH].
The Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Church world wide as we are now popularly known is for a number of reasons a cherubim and seraphim church with deference. It is bent on setting in motion a new social order to remove the stigma being slammed, albeit unfairly on white garment Churches as if there are no mala poma in other organizations. We are revolutionary in nature; we are Pentecostal in approach, we are evangelical and pastoral in operations without losing the basics as a truly Holly Spirit guided Christian church denomination; Building on the foundation laid by the past five General Superintendents - all of blessed memory. The present leadership holds passionately and tenaciously to the doctrine of Trinity-God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost. We believe in the in the inspired words of God in both the Old and New Testament; we believe with passion the gospel of Jesus Christ in its totality; we hold as sacred the baptism by immersion as expressly commanded by our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ {Mk.16:15-16} as one of the requirements for our salvation; we believe in the sanctification of oil and water for healing without a charge as commanded by our Lord in Matthew 10:8. We believe and accept the usage of ordinary white candle and sanctified incense during devotional services.
We wage wars against witch craft, occult practices, and fetish practices in any form, usage of any red candles or any fetish objects or materials under any disguise in discharge of our responsibility to those in search of solutions to obvious spiritual problems arising from works of demonic forces. While we revere the saints, we do not worship or adore them; we do not worship the angels whose functions are to assist human beings in times of need in the same ways we have the right to summon police men or fire men or ambulance personnel.
Our belief is grounded on the efficacy of prayers without any rituals or seeming demonic or fetish or idolatry practices or pretences. It is for this reason that we detest the construction of make belief ark of covenant {Exodus 25} and the ritualistic practices thereof as it is still in practice elsewhere. We earnestly believe that the blood shed on the cross is our everlasting sacrifice in place of all rituals or any ark of covenant which some still celebrate with relish slaying of pigeons and other animals in the process.
We hold dearly the parting instructions of our Lord Jesus Christ to go into the field to evangelize {Mark16:15; Matthew 28:19}, It is for this reason that the present leadership has made evangelism the cornerstone of his administration and he is committing a lot of his personal resources to evangelism.
To us at Sacred, the sanctity of marriage which presupposes the practice of monogamy as a way of life for all Christians whether priests or members is a must {1Timothy 3}. In Nigeria alone, there are some 1000 assemblies made of parishes and branches with sub-conferences in Ghana and United States of America. The creation of a sub-conference in the United Kingdom is now being considered.
Each of our sub-conferences parishes and branches (sub-parishes) are headed in most cases by tent making priests who, like St. Paul engage themselves in mundane activities for their livelihood to avoid being a burden on the Church. I am one of the many tents making in the vine yard. Sometimes we are subsided unsolicited by kind hearted individuals within and outside by means of prophetic gifts.
The Church has five Ministries: 1.) Prophetic Ministry - Members of this ministry are made up of prophets and prophetesses tested before ordination. They are monitored to ensure they follow rules in the interest of the Church. Most of them are engaged in mundane activities or are so encouraged so that they are not a burden to the congregation and to effectively discharge their sacred duties without any charge. A tap –tap is maintained on them and those on remuneration. 2.) Evangelical Ministry - These are field men and women to bring perishing souls back into the Kingdom. They are charged to carry out general evangelism on inter denominational basis and to allow the converts choose any Christian denomination of their choice. 3.) Pastoral Ministry - Members are drawn from gifted members of the Church to nourish new converts; to do the counseling to all and sundry on non interdenominational basis. They are also charged with the responsibility of teaching the words of God. Our newly established Seminary and Theological School is under this Ministry. 4.) Apostolic Ministry - This is a newly established Ministry made up of seasoned administrators as volunteers to assist me so that I may devote more time to the corner stone of my mission stated-evangelism. 5.) Sowing Ministry - This Ministry is to accommodate individuals both within and outside who are interested to assist me with their resources on my evangelistic efforts to bring the gospel to perishing souls. They are in millions for which the Lord is literally begging for funds for the bumper harvest. More than ever before, there is now an urgency for aggressive evangelism, especially in the face of the prevailing permissive society. Without funds, the harvest would be lost {Romans10:14-15}
